Rixon Bucknall Jaguar
This car is one of a kind and was built for Lt-Col Rixon Bucknall. The car was made to measure just like you would have a suit made to measure. What the Lt-Col wanted was a two seater car styled around a 1930's MG 18-80 Mk2 but built on a Jaguar Mk4 chassis. He approached 38 coachbuilders to have the car made including some prestigeous companies and no-one would take on the task. He then approached Moore and Tye in Caves road St. Leonards who made the car to his exacting requirements.

A post card sent to Mr. Tye dated December 1956 read....
Dear Mr. Tye, You will have had the coloured photos of the car, taken by Mr Grigs, showing yourself, myself and Mr Eric Brown the manager of Henleys'. Now here at last, are some views which I hope you will think do your handiwork justice. I am expecting some of them to appear in "The Motor", any Wednesday now. All the final details are complete, she's perfect, and I could want nothing better. Thank-you to all. Best wishes to Mr. Moore and yourself, and to all at 20 Caves Road. Is Mr. Jenner back yet? Yours sincerely RB
